As many people as well as companies have found out, there are many benefits of using an online recruitment agency as opposed to a high street agency.
The main benefit is of course the fact that a small home based agency can offer a more cost effective service.
It is not until after the application process that clients appreciate that they can get quality candidates from a new independent recruitment agency.
Studies have shown that more than 60 per cent of people who start a business are now doing so from home. Primarily because it is low cost and therefore less risky, plus there aren’t any expensive premises overheads when you are operating from the comfort of your own home.
You can also claim for a percentage of your domestic bills, for lighting, heating, telephone calls, etc. A home office means no commute, so you save money and time. Cutting out a daily commute of 60 minutes each way frees up one whole extra day each week. That day can be spent earning money or with family/friends or enjoying leisure time.
It’s important that you make sure that the lines between work and home do not become blurred?
And therefore you need to have a good schedule and remain disciplined. you need to think about how the business will affect your home life – and vice versa. I recommend creating a dedicated work area, possibly a spare room, garden shed, attic or space under the stairs.
This way, when you’re in that space everyone knows you’re working. And you can close the door at the end of the day and leave work behind.
When you’re starting out, you’ll need to put in the time and effort to get your business off the ground.
Getting your small business off the ground is very much like a plane taking off from the runway.
Let’s also think of your plane as the vehicle that is going to take you from where you are to where you want to be.
Now as a pilot. You’ll know that it takes more fuel, more throttle and more energy for your plane to start moving down the runway, build up speed and momentum than any other time during the flight. Let alone getting off the runway itself.
Once it does gain enough speed and momentum you’ll eventually be able to lift off the runway and begin to gain altitude. This isn’t quite the time for you to back off the throttle and just sit back and relax. It still requires a tremendous amount of fuel and energy to continue to climb to your desired altitude.
Now here’s what’s really exciting and rewarding about all this work and effort and energy that it took for you to reach your desired altitude.
Just like getting your small business off the ground…
Once you’re there you can begin to ease off the throttle, relax and even use the autopilot to fly the plane for you. And because of all this you’re actually flying faster, covering more ground and reaching your destination significantly faster and easier with much less throttle, less fuel and less energy than it took in the beginning of your flight to just get your plane off the runway.
If you stick with it and don’t give up during the process of getting your small business off the ground. Your business will eventually reach your desired level of success. At that point you’ll be able to back off the throttle, relax and you’ll actually be able to turn on the autopilot switch.
And because you’ve built it up and your business has momentum…
You’ll make a ton more without working nearly as hard…
You’ll have a lot more time freedom…
You’ll reach your goals and your destination much faster and easier than ever before…
And ultimately you’ll have the quality of life you’ve always dreamed of and that you deserve.
How would that feel?
Getting your small business off the ground just requires patience and persistence and it will with time pay off.
Just make sure you going full throttle and putting in the time and effort or else getting your small business off the ground will never happen.
And if you are working hard and don’t feel like you’re getting results fast enough. Just understand that all you’re doing is building up momentum and speed that will eventually get you results far beyond your wildest dreams.
Keep in mind that true success never happens overnight and neither does getting your small business off the ground.
Couple of other things to bear in mind are firstly your insurance.
You can add a business element to your home insurance – it does not cost much extra. It’s better to be protected. You should also inform your mortgage provider or landlord, as some agreements prevent people from running a business from their home without first seeking permission.
And secondly whether or not you need any additional security.
As long as you already have good quality locks on doors and windows, maybe an alarm, you should be fine. You might need to take additional steps, if, for example, you’re planning to have an office with additional IT equipment.
