Starting a business is not the hardest thing in the world to do.
The hardest thing to do is to give yourself permission to do the work that makes success possible.
Once people decide to let go of their excuses, they find the open door to freedom and prosperity.
Excuses hold you hostage.
They prevent you from living the ideal life that you envision for yourself. They keep you from having those things that you know you deserve but are just too afraid to pursue.
If you really want to do something, you will find a way; if you don't, you will find an excuse. Such as:
*I can't afford it...
*I don't have the time...
*Maybe next time...
*I don't know how...
The list is endless...
What's interesting about excuses is they are often a mask for the REAL issue.
Oftentimes, the real issue is rooted in FEAR. Fear of failure, fear of what other people might think, fear that we might not know enough, even, strangely enough, fear
success!
Try and think about your goals and about those things that you know deep down inside you want to accomplish.
Think about those things that you truly desire and begin to ask yourself, "what's really holding me back?"
What reasons have you given yourself as to why you haven't gone after what you truly desire?
Excuses hold you back; action moves you forward.
Be intentional about squashing all of your excuses. Discover the escape clause in every excuse.
For example:
* (Excuse) I can't afford it? (Escape) Sell something, work extra hours, borrow from family, temporarily downsize if you have to and make decisions not to spend on "wants" in order to have something that you need if it gets you closer to your dream.
* (Excuse) I don't have time. (Escape) Look at how you spend your day, and identify timewasters (like watching too much time on social media, television or pointless conversations, texts, etc.)
By eliminating time wasters, you take back those minutes and hours. Use the time you gain back to work on your dream.
* (Excuse) Maybe next time. (Escape) If not you, then who? If not now, then when? The time to start working on your dream is always NOW.
Take advantage of the power of NOW because NOW is a moment in time that you will never get back. When you look back at this moment in time a year from now, you will be glad that you didn't wait; you will be glad that you
started NOW.
* (Excuse) I don't know-how. (Escape) Never let the fact that you may not know how to do something
hold you back from learning how to do it.
I can't even begin to tell you the number of times I didn't know how to do something, but I learned what I needed to learn to get where I wanted to be. You can always learn what you don't know.
Refuse to allow excuses to hold you back any longer.
You deserve what you desire.
