Over my fifteen years of running recruitment startup workshop events, I’ve come to realise this:

People can never outperform their own self-esteem or self-image.

You can give someone all the information and proof they need to get started:

• A clear, proven blueprint to follow
• One-to-one hands-on training
• Let them know that I will help them to make their first placement
• A foolproof plan with all the resources lined up perfectly
• The exact strategies to achieve their goals

But none of it will matter if they don’t believe they deserve that level of success.

Here’s the kicker: this is the biggest thing holding people back from getting started.

It’s not a lack of funds, knowledge or the correct set of circumstances—it’s their failure to believe in themselves.

Why?

Because, on some level, their own self-image is sabotaging them. Deep down, they don’t believe they deserve the success, the wins, or the rewards that come from taking action.

And it’s not just them—we all do this at some level. I catch myself doing it in different areas of my life, too.

The truth is, the first step to changing this is becoming aware of where your self-image is keeping you stuck.

Once you’re aware of it, you can begin doing the real work of adjusting how you see yourself and what you believe you truly deserve.

Because here’s the key: when you believe in your worth, you’ll start taking action that aligns with the success you’re capable of achieving.

That’s when everything starts to shift.
